WHO IT'S FOR

Designed for owners who are away.

The Leak Sensor Add-On is for absentee owners who want an alert-capable device layer in common leak-risk areas between scheduled Home Watch visits. It is especially relevant for vacant, seasonal, waterfront, and second homes with water heaters, sinks, toilets, laundry areas, or appliances.

VISIT PROCESS

What happens during a scheduled visit?

  1. Review the property’s agreed high-risk areas and place 3 to 5 labeled sensors where appropriate.
  2. Help with app setup, basic testing, and placement documentation through the device provider’s account process.
  3. Check sensor status during scheduled Home Watch visits when the add-on is active.
  4. Notify the owner if an alert is received or a scheduled status check shows an issue, then help coordinate the next approved step.

REPORTING

What you receive afterward.

The owner receives placement documentation during setup and notification or coordination support when an alert or scheduled status observation calls for attention. The device provider’s app, account, power, Wi-Fi, batteries, and cloud service remain part of the system’s operating conditions.

OUTSIDE THE SCOPE

Clear boundaries protect the service.

The add-on is not active monitoring, emergency response, leak repair, water shutoff, or a guarantee that a leak will be detected. Sensor performance may depend on power, Wi-Fi, batteries, vendor cloud services, and owner account settings.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about this service.

Are leak sensors monitored continuously by Mobile Bay Home Watch?
